Back to School

Come August I’ll be one of oh, my guess is probably about 6, undergrads attending college at the ripe young age of 52. When I originally started college in 1991 at 33 years old, I thought I was kinda old for it, But ironically now I’m pretty geared up and raring to get into a life with more academic stimulation.

I’m starting a little easy I suppose. Two classes are online and 2 are back-to-back on Tuesdays & Thursdays; so it won’t crimp real life too much as I transition into a much more robust schedule in 2011 & beyond.

My major is African Studies (of course?) and I am excited about the opportunity to delve deeply into one of my passions. I’ve been self-studying Africa for years and most people that know me know I intend to live there (West Africa) at some point down the road.

I am trying to decide how/if I should document this experience for the ages, or for the helluvit.

I guess it’ll probably be the latter.
